Inka (Finland) and Niclas (Sweden) Lindergård is an awarded artist duo who works to primarily with photography-based art. Working together since 2007 their art revolves around the present day depiction, circulation and consumption of grand scenery. Presenting photographs were the idealization of nature has gone into spin and the landscape has become fluorescent, Inka and Niclas questions the idea of nature photography from within.
The exaggeration and displacement of fetishesed photographic elements, like sunsets and palmtrees, address the spectators’ experience, making them notice not only the beauty but also the culture. An open portal to the hyperrealistic synthesis of beauty, kitsch and visual desire in the language of photography.
Inka and Niclas Lindergård exhibit and are published internationally. Their works are included in private collections as well as in the permanent collection and exhibition at the Gothenburg Museum of Art (Sweden), Fries Museum (The Netherlands) and the Public Art Agency (Sweden).
